Squires Field Food Larder.
Squires Field Community Centre is the 'home' of the food larder.
We have been in existence since January 4th, 2021, and we are open on a Monday morning from 9-10 am – and also on a Thursday evening from 6-7 pm.

Firstly, the Larder accesses food that is surplus which reduces food waste. The surplus food is free but most of our visitors make a small donation. These donations are ploughed back into the Food Larder.

Secondly, the Fowey Community Food Larder is part of a ‘community larder network’. At the moment there are approximately 15 Community Food Larders throughout Cornwall, and they are all, including Fowey, helping households who are experiencing food insecurity in these challenging times.

We are extremely grateful to the businesses who share the surpluses. We are also very appreciative to the individuals who make personal donations of food and toiletries during our opening hours.
